A quality made grill.
I was replacing a 10 year old Webber grill and saw the broil king Crown 440 on store display and decided to try it. I have had this for about a year and I think its a great grill. Very good design and great build quality. I have fired this grill up in the middle of winter in 5 degrees and it in about ten minutes it was ready to go and heated up. Always starts up on the first push of igniter button. Originally after assembly the igniter was bad from the factory. I made a call to the warranty number and they shipped me a new igniter immediately. Since then it has worked flawlessly. Always had Webber but this Broil King is definitely not disappointed me in any way. Lets see how it does in the long run but from what I have experienced with grilling at least three times a week sometimes more this will be great grill.

Great BBQ
The BBQ itself is great but Home Depot made it very hard. I had the BBQ delivered and assembled it myself, but the firebox was missing key welds and would bend/twist as it opened. Broil King offered to deliver a new firebox at no cost, but I wasn’t keen on having to disassemble and reassemble myself, with the initial assembly taking 3 hours, so potentially another 6 hours of work for a defective product. Home Depot first offered me a $100 coupon and then wanted me to pay the $250 for them to contract out the assembly. It took 3 days on and off the phone to sort it out, which ended with them sending me a coupon to cover the cost of the assembly only. The Home Depot customer service reps were trying to help me as much as they could but they were definitely limited in what they could offer me, and the manager I spoke to seemed to just want to get off the phone, and wanted me to bring the old BBQ back first despite me having it delivered because I don’t have a vehicle that could take it. Overall a very poor experience with Home Depot, but Broil King was great and the BBQ itself is very much worthwhile. Highly recommend this BBQ but from a supplier other than Home Depot.

It is a BBQ
It is a good BBQ for the average user. I have not used a BBQ that ever gets as hot as I would like it too and this is no different. You have to pre-heat it for about 15min before you get a decent sear. The only way to go is to get a searing station....wish I did. Everything works as expected, just be aware if you are trying to slow cook something on low, any wind will blow out the flames. The double sided grills are probably the feature I like best.

Love this bbq...almost perfect
The bbq is wonderful! We love how it cooks. I would give it a perfect review, except ours had a very minor manufacturing problem when we unpacked it. One of the rubber stopper pieces on the lid was sheared off. I contacted the company to see if they could send us a replacement and that was 3 weeks ago. They've never responded to my email.
