Awesome!
I bought for my husband on fathers day and he has been smoking everything! So good. Even had a problem with the motherboard and broil king replaced immediately, they couldn't let us be without a smoker for to long. It took 3 days for the part to come in ( we live in the middle of nowhere, so that was quick).

Regal pellet 500
Have had the grill for 2 months now maybe. Really enjoying cooking on the grill. App on the phone is nice for when your away from the grill. Very easy to use overall.
The handle/shelf broke at the welds the first time I tried to move the grill which is why I gave it 4 stars. Although they sent a new one out rather quickly with no push back when I called.
The display flickers once in a while. Not sure if that is going to become an issue in the future but it doesn’t bother me to much.
I would recommend this smoker all day long. Really enjoying it

Never Worked, sent parts, told service it myself
Bought the smoker and it never was able to set on the temperature I wanted. Instead of replacing the grill I was sent parts with no instructions on how to replace anything. There are multiple wires that need to be disconnected and reconnected, and even then there is no guarantee that the smoker would work for the first time. Pretty terrible from a manufacture and customer service aspect. Would recommend going with a different brand.

What a beast
I just got mine(2019 model) last week. This thing is built like a tank, 300 shipping pounds with premium cover. Even after opening box and removing all the parts it was still in need of three people to turn over for assembly. We did it with two but it was a trick. No china junk here, even the screws come in a molded clam shell so you don't have to sort or cut out. Everything comes in a box or wrapped . The quality is top shelf, only one screw hole is tapped in the piece otherwise everything is done with nutserts(threaded inserts). The assembly instructions are perfect, didn't forget a thing and left the printing to a minimum. The lid alone feels like it weighs a 100 lbs. and it will sink in soft soil. Even the cover is heavy, I bought the premium version. One thing I noticed is that with the textured paint finish the packing foam leaves marks that have to be scrubbed out. So far I think I made the right choice over the well known brand. I wish more stores carried it so more could see it more.

Auger Motor Died
I bought this last October. On the 4th cook the auger jammed causing a fire in the pellet hopper which ruined the controller. Almost 3 months later and I still haven't received the parts to get the grill back in operation. I feel like my money also went up in smoke.

Built well
The grill is extremely well built for the price. But I cannot give it 5 stars because the app on your phone for controlling it is horrendous!!! Temps are way off compared to phone doesn’t work when setting from phone. List goes on useless app. If they can fix it then it’s 5 stars, cast grates are nice love the flip for grill marks and flip to other site for basting channels. And just very heavy sturdy grill.

Love This Grill!
I have had this grill for 2 months and absolutely love it. I have been smoking with a bradley smoker for many years so not new to the game. I love how this grill gets to temperature and stays there. I have had temperature swings up To 20 degrees but usually gets back fairly quick. Did rib steaks at 500 degrees and they were the best steaks I have ever had. Slow smoked pulled pork and it was awesome. The easy clean out for the pot is perfect. I would recommend wrapping the grease trays with foil as it makes for easy cleaning.
The only bad thing I have to say is that the 2 legs with wheels have welded bolts. They have sprayed the threads with paint and I did snap one of the bolts off when I got it. Broil King replaced no questions asked for free and I had it in 5 days which was great. I would recommend cleaning the threads with a wire brush and then the nut goes on easy.
Great job Broil King!

Great Smoker
I bought this just over a month ago after debating for quite a while. I have done all my smoking up until my purchase on the Webber Bullet. I enjoyed the smoking part of it, but the set up and the constant monitoring became more hassle than it was worth in my busy schedule. The Broil King set up was done in about 90 min and soon after I started my initial burn in. I smoked a Turkey at Easter and it came out better than what I have ever achieved on my Bullet. Simple to use, no messy cleanup and I am very happy I made the purchase.

Great Smoker!
I can't get enough of these pellet grills. I also have a Regal Pellet 400. The 500 adds a larger cooking area if you have a large group or need to cook a lot of food. I have found that it gets up to temperature very quickly so you're not waiting for it to heat up. The temperature consistency is very good and I have no problems doing low and slow overnight cooks. On the opposite end, you can turn the heat up and sear a steak if you'd like. This was very easy to add to the app so that I can monitor on my phone. Overall, a great grill!

Jammed Auger
Purchased last spring and it cooked very well but on the 4th time, the auger jammed. Tech support blamed it on the brand of pellets. Finding Broil King pellets online was not possible! Finally found a vendor but auger still jammed. Broil King is now sending another auger. Not a good grill after all.

As advertised.
The material used to construct this behemoth couldn't be better. I am 75 years old and I had this unit put together in 1 1/2 hours. The hardest part of the build was flipping it up on the wheels by myself. I have smoked chicken, pork, Turkey and a slab of salmon all of them were delicious especially the salmon. I grilled a 4 lbs. Porterhouse at 600 degrees to a perfect medium rare in 18 minutes. The grill heats up quickly and holds the set temp. very well. I love this grill and if you are contemplating a purchase buy this.

Met or exceeded all of my expectations
I bought this in early May 2020. Through research of pellet grills had decided that Broil King had the features I wanted at the price I wanted to pay. I specifically liked the sturdy build and the thick gauge construction. I have found everything works great. The temperature control is accurate and consistent, the phone app works just fine, the electronic controls are intuitive and easy to use. The grill is super easy to keep clean, and the grease and ash clean-outs are easily accessible. The rotisserie works great. I also bought the cover - it's functional and looks good! All in all I am very pleased with my purchase. The pellet grill and my Regal 590 gas grill (purchased in 2016) combine to cover off all my outdoor cooking needs. Thanks Broil King.

AMAZING!!
This is an AMAZING pellet grill! My husband surprised me with this grill and I am so happy with it. The Regal is so solid and well made. I love the lid, the heat stays in this grill even when you open the door. Heats up quickly and temperature remains constant. I love the meat probes. I have read a few people say that they were off, but I have had no issue and they seem quite accurate. The display is fantastic, nice and bright and easy to read. The ash cleaning tray is brilliant. I love the settings for smoke, roast and grill, so simple. The bluetooth and wifi are easy to install and the app is great. I have had 2 Traegers and this is by far a superior product and its made in North America. Don't hesitate to buy one of these grills, you won't be disappointed!

Great features if they worked
I am impresed by this pellet grill for many reasons. Robust build, great features for ash and grease clean-out, dial temperature controller and nice heavy cast iron grates. Plus it's nice to have integrated temp probes and they work well! On the other hand, I am disappointed that they didn't continue the build quality throughout. They supply a flimsy porcelain-coated upper cooking rack (which in some literature is called a bun rack). It is nowhere near the quality of the rest of this smoker and easily flexes. It's just too light a gauge not to flex and produce flakes of porcelain over time. Secondly, the pellet hopper dump is a great idea but requires you to hold a bucket in an awkward position as it impossible to drain pellets unless you do so. This needs some tweaking so that you could put a bucket down and then manually move the pellets towards the hopper exit with a small stick in the hopper. This also leads me to the fact that the pellet hopper grate does not tilt up. So when changing wood types, you have to put a stick in the grate to push them over to the exit area. Lastly, the WiFi App does not work. I've spent way too much time uninstalling and reinstalling this app, following the supplied directions to a "T" and nothing. It is a complete bust. The App GUI is also a disaster as it it is totally non-intuitive. I'me not sure who Onward Manufacturing hired to buld this app, buit I hope they didn't pay too much as it's a waste of time. Onward manufacturing - if you fix these problems, you will OWN the pellet smoker market!

All Around Great Grill
I bought this grill as my first venture into the pellet world (although I am a seasoned charcoal grill/smoking user). I had some hiccups at first (app issues, auger clogging, temperature issues, etc.) but for the most part everything has settled out. I am very impressed with the build quality of this unit. Compared to many other pellet grills, the Broil King one is very sturdy and heavy duty. It was a little more expensive than some of the competition, but it has many great features. I ultimately chose Broil King over many of the others because of the build quality and the name BK carries in the grilling industry.
Few things to keep in mind.
- I would recommend using the actual BK branded pellets. They are a smaller pellet. My auger clogged from using other brands with larger pellets. There are a few other pellet manufacturers who make a smaller sized pellet which I have been using and are working well.
- Get a separate digital grill temperature probe to monitor the temperature at grate/food level. I continually experience differences in temperature between the center of the main cooking grate and the grills read out of 25-50 degrees F. I have a very accurate and highly reputable grill monitoring probe that I keep set-up at the grate level and this is a more accurate representation of the grills operating temperature.

Sucks
I bought this pellet smoker to replace my Traegar. What a mistake I made. More smoke from smoker the the bbq since new. Dealt with customer service who blames the user. After 1.5 years of arguing. Pictures. Videos. Removing dust from pellets. Buy multiple new pellets as you shouldn’t re use what’s left in hopper due to moisture. This bbq smoker sucks. They finally sent me out new fans saying this is the fix. Nope. Didn’t do anything. The pellet grill still sucks. Biggest waste of money on a pellet smojer

2 years old and its coming apart.
Its 2 years this summer that ive had my regal 400 pellet from when they first came out and i was excited but the welds inside the drum are detaching from the wall. A HUGE let down. Soon i wont be able to use it if a third welds goes. Well see how they handle the warranty.

Absolutely Incredible!
I've had this beast now for about a month, and I absolutely love it! I've used it for smoking and grilling, and it performs like a champ. From smoked ribs, chicken, beef, pork tenderloin, and all the way to simple grilling of burgers and kebabs. I am yet to be disappointed. The pellet auto-feed works great and when smoking at 225 degrees, a full pellet hopper lasts for like 10+ hours. I am extremely happy with the pellet smoker. The thing is built like a tank too, so you know that puppy is going to last!

Useless, do not buy!
I purchased the 496051 Regal pellet grill two years ago. I would never recommend this grill. Since day one, it has never lived up to my expectations!. The biggest problem with mine is that it runs way too hot and will not maintain the desired temperature. Example, set controller at 200 and it climes to 450. I replaced the controller, fan motor, and pellet probe. It’s basically an over priced boat anchor. Guess I have to suck it up and take a $1700 loss! My advice to anyone…. Buy a Traeger!

Love it! Just 1 issue
Love my smoker, I've had it for almost a year now and have used it multiple times and I've had amazing results. My only issue is that the probes are showing a temp that's about 15 degrees more from what it should be, I have 4 other digital meat probes that I used to compare temperatures and the Broil King ones are significantly off every time. Unfortunately I learned that the hard way the first time I made a roast and it was well done instead of medium rare. My Broil King dealer got me some new probes but they have the same temp problem, so I just use my own probes for now and the app is useless to me without properly working probes. For the money spent on this unit I expected a quality product so I will not settle on faulty probes. Currently my dealer and Broil King are working on a solution. Other than that the smoker has worked flawlessly.

Built like a Tank!
This is my third Pellet grill (donated my others to my children) but my first Broil King. I was a bit skeptical that the price difference from the other named brand pellet grills would be noticeable, I was wrong!! Starting from the 250lbs of solid quality.. But the smoker itself works like a charm, the digital thermostat hold the temp very well as well. I don't regret this purchase at all. Highly recommended the Regal 500.

The KING of pellet grills!
I have had my Broil King XL pellet grill for about 9-months now. I must say, I was a bit intimidated about adding a pellet grill to my backyard grilling set up. Why, as all I every knew was cooking with gas (I have a Broil King Imperial 590, gas grill and it is awesome!). Well guess what? Before I knew it, I was smoking brisket, wings, sausage and more, AND grilling burgers, chicken, and steak! Not only does my pellet grill do low and slow, but it gets very hot for grilling too! There is nothing I like better than a perfectly grilled steak. I have always LOVED how great a steak I can grill on my Imperial 590. My Broil King pellet grill gets plenty hot enough to sear the perfect steak too!
Now I the toughest choice I have, is which of my Broil Kings to cook on? This will only get tougher as I am looking to add a Broil King KEG to my grilling arsenal next!
