Grilled Cinnamon Maple Pear With Candied Pecans

Grilled juicy pears are served with sweet crunchy pecans and cinnamon syrup for a quick and cozy winter treat! Light a fire, warm up to a hot mug of tea, and bask in the hygge.

CANDIED PECANS

  • ½ cup pecans
  • 2 tsps. maple syrup
  • 1 tsp. water
  • dash of vanilla
  • pinch of salt

CINNAMON MAPLE SYRUP

  • 3 tbsps. maple syrup
  • ½ tsp. ground cinnamon

INGREDIENTS

  • oil with a high smoke point, like rice bran, canola or grapeseed
  • 4 ripe bosc pears, halved and cored

DIRECTIONS

  1. Make candied pecans. Combine ingredients from pecans to salt in a small saucepan and toast on medium heat for 2-3 minutes, until pecans are thoroughly coated and golden brown. Spread pecans out onto a plate or small baking sheet to cool. Roughly chop and set aside.
  2. Preheat grill to medium heat.
  3. Combine maple syrup and ground cinnamon and set aside.
  4. Oil the grates with Broil King’s Basting Brush.
  5. Grill pears, cut side down at a 45° angle for 3-4 minutes. Rotate to the opposite 45° angle and grill for an additional 3-4 minutes.
  6. Transfer pears to a platter and drizzle with cinnamon maple syrup. Top with chopped candied pecans and serve.
