Hot Smoked Salmon

Hot smoked salmon is a great way to learn how to smoke fish without a cedar plank. Try reducing the heat and cooking for longer to add even more smoke flavor.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 salmon filet
  • 1 lemon
  • 2 tablespoons soya sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Kosher salt
  • Ground pepper

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat your grill to MEDIUM heat, approximately 350°F (177°C).
  2. Rub the salmon filet with lemon juice, soya sauce, olive oil, salt, and pepper completely.
  3. Place the filet on top of a layer of parchment sitting on top of aluminum foil.
  4. Place directly on the cooking grids.
  5. Smoke at 350°F (177°C) for about 30 minutes or until the filet has reached the desired doneness.
