Sweet Maple Dressing

This dressing is packed with flavor, perfect for stuffing your favorite bird! But we didn’t. This stuffing is more of an unstuffing: the way we grill it saves time and space without compromising flavor.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 loaf of stale sourdough bread
  • 1 package of maple breakfast sausages, casings removed
  • 4 stalks of celery
  • 1 medium red onion, diced
  • Turkey giblets, minced
  • 1/4 cup (50 ml) of melted butter
  • Broil King KC Spice Rub
  • 1 liter of chicken stock

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat the grill on MEDIUM 350°F (177°C).
  2. Mix all of the ingredients together – apart from the butter and the chicken stock – in a casserole dish or the Broil King rib roaster! It’s really the perfect baking tool on your grill.
  3. Place it directly on the cooking grates and pour in 1 cup (250 ml) of chicken stock. Bake uncovered for 20 minutes.
  4. After 20 minutes pour in 1 cup (250 ml) of chicken stock and pour half of the butter overtop of the dressing.
  5. After 20 minutes repeat and bake until finished. The dressing must be when done, moist but not dripping wet.
  6. Serve and enjoy.
